I am a Senior Economist at the Research Department of the Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City and the Executive Director of the Kansas City Federal Statistical Research Data Center. I am also a System Affiliate at the Opportunity and Inclusive Growth Institute at the Federal Reserve Bank of Minneapolis. My research focuses on macroeconomics, labor economics, and health economics.

I received my Ph.D. in economics from the University of Maryland, College Park in 2011. I also hold a B.S. degree in physics and a M.A. degree in economics from Bogazici University in Istanbul, Turkey.
